Board of Funeral Service Education (ABFSE)
The American Board of Funeral Service Education (ABFSE) serves
as the national academic accreditation agency for college
and university programs in Funeral Service and Mortuary Science
Education. ABFSE is the sole accrediting agency recognized
by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council on Higher
Education Accreditation in this field.
The
Association of Executives of Funeral Service Boards
(AEFSB)
The purpose of the AEFSB is to allow the people who operate
and manage regulatory agencies the opportunity to discuss
and share best practices with one another. Also, the AEFSB
will provide an opportunity to have a forum of ideas, processes
and concepts that will foster an environment for the sharing
of information for the purpose of enhancing consumer protection
in the funeral service industry.
California
Funeral Directors Association (CFDA)
The purpose of the California Funeral Directors Association
is to advocate and provide continuous professional development,
and enhance the economic viability of member funeral service
practitioners in order to provide services as desired by
consumers.
Epsilon Nu Delta Mortuary Fraternity is an invitation-only organization comprised of licensed embalmers. Although designated as a "fraternity," members include both men and women.

Ethics Association (FEA)
The purpose of the Funeral Ethics Association is to provide
the public and the profession with a balanced forum for
resolving misunderstandings and to elevate the importance
of ethical practices in all matters related to funeral
service.

and Memorialization Information Council (FAMIC)
FAMIC's mission is: 1.) to foster cooperative relationships
among the associations serving the funeral and memorialization
industry; and 2.) to establish a forum for the interchange
of ideas and information.
Illinois
Funeral Directors Association (IFDA)
The Illinois Funeral Directors Association was founded
in 1881 by funeral directors seeking a common voice, a
way to share information, ideas and methods and to protect
themselves and consumers through legislation.
International
Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA)
The International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association
(ICCFA) is the only international trade association representing
the entire allied cemetery, funeral and memorialization
industries.

Order of the Golden Rule (OGR)
OGR, The Voice of the Independent Funeral Home, is a professional
association bringing support, resources and services to
locally owned Golden Rule funeral homes.

Founded in 1902, the NJSFDA is a not-for-profit trade organization
that is committed to ensuring that communities receive
professional and ethical funeral care. The NJSFDA helps
professionals and the public with funeral related issues
every day, from directing families to funeral payment resources
to mediating funeral home-client disputes.

Funeral Service Association (OFSA)
The Ontario Funeral Service Association (OFSA) maintains
a high standard of efficient service among its members
in the interests of public welfare. OFSA strives to increase
public awareness of the funeral profession.

as National Selected Morticians. It has grown as a professional
association to approximately 1,500 independently owned
funeral homes worldwide.
